LearnBridge Alliance

Goal $15000
LearnBridge Alliance works with social workers, group homes, and public school systems to ensure that children in foster care don’t fall through the educational cracks. With the shift toward hybrid and remote learning in recent years, students without stable internet or devices have faced significant academic setbacks. Digital Desks was born to address this inequality head-on by equipping foster youth with complete digital learning kits.
Each kit includes a rugged laptop, a high-quality webcam, a pair of headphones, and a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot with six months of service. These tools allow students to attend virtual classes, complete homework, and participate in school community events, even if they’re in transition or lack access to a traditional classroom. The goal is not only access—but consistency.
In collaboration with child welfare agencies, LearnBridge identifies students with the greatest need and ensures that each kit is delivered directly to their current residence. In cases where housing is temporary, kits are stored with case managers and travel with the child to prevent interruptions. Technical support is available 24/7 via a hotline manned by volunteers from local colleges.
Beyond hardware, the program includes educational check-ins from certified tutors who offer academic coaching via Zoom. These virtual mentors help students set learning goals and provide emotional support. For many foster youth, this project is the first time they’ve had consistent access to resources designed specifically for them.
Your donation helps stabilize the learning journey for kids who are navigating far more than just academics. By funding a Digital Desk, you’re not just giving a device—you’re giving stability, confidence, and a reason to stay engaged in school.
